Kanthaswamy (2008) is a forthcoming high budget Tamil film directed by Susi Ganesan. Its been confirmed that Vikram and Shriya Saran are the lead actors in the movie. Vivek, Santhanam and Raghuvaran play other roles.

The sources close to the unit say that Vikram dons the role of Robin Hood in the film. Upon release, it will be subsequently dubbed into Telugu as Mallana.
The producer has given the film a marvellous opening by making a sophisticated invitation card for the opening ceremony of the film. The so called invitation itself has a LCD screen, which displays a 8 minute trailer of the movie "Kanthaswamy".

"This is a different idea which Hollywood even did not think about" says Kalipuli S. Dhanu. The team has shoot a special video for this trailer and it is said that a single invitation card costs Rs. 15,000 ($375).

‘Kandasamy’ is a forthcoming Tamil movie starring Vikram. Susi Ganesan is the director of the film. Vikram pairs up for the first time with Shriya in this movie. The rest of the cast includes Raghuvaran, Vivek and Santhanam. Vikram is said to don the role of Robin Hood in the film.

Kandasamy, the most expected movie of Vikram after Bheema will be released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The very close circle of the movie crew says that the movie is shot both in Tamil and Telugu.

In Telugu the director has named the movie as Mallanna. Vikram playing a role of a person with a physiological problem of stealing encounter many problems in life and takes revenge for the mayhem caused by the villains. With Vikram and Shriya in lead roles, the film will be shot at striking locations of the African country Kenya.

The film Kandasaamy produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and directed by Susi Ganesan is going to be launch at 23 September, 2007. The film Thiruttu Payalae was a big hit for director Susi Ganesan, now he has joined hands with Vikram for next film

In this film, Vikram has reduced 15 kilos and looks very young and smart. The movie will be launched on Sunday, September 23 at Devi Theater. Each invitation of the movie cost Rs 10,000 with a mini LCD player attached to show the trailer of the film Kandasaamy. Shriya and Vikram come together for the first time with Devi Sri Prasad scoring the music.

Vikram is back from his Bheema. The shooting of the movie was successfully completed recently. Bheema has taken up Vikram’s dates for almost a year and the actor was never seen onscreen during the year 2006.

The next film for Vikram ‘Kandasaamy’ with director Susi Ganesan is set to hit the floors in the month of July. Photo session of the film involving Vikram and Shriya has been completed already in the coastal village of Muttukadu. The crew will be flying to Italy for the shooting. This is a mega budget film in which Vikram has got Shriya as his lady love. Vikram's Bheema as well as Kandasamy are action packed films with serious story lines. After this, Vikram has planned to act in a light subject stories. But the new film will take off only after the completion of “Kandasamy”.

Both Vikram and the director have taken a serious note on the costumes in ‘Kandasamy’. They have traveled all the way to Malaysia, along with fashion designer Chetan to purchase costumes which the hero and heroine would don in the film.

The dress materials will be purchased in Malaysia will be tailored in Italy. According to the director, ‘Kandasamy’ will be on par with Hollywood movies. So the team is taking special efforts and care over the costumes.

Vikram has toned up his physique for ‘Bheema’. He also grew beard for the movie. Now he has to commence shooting for ‘Kandasamy’, which is supposedly a hilarious movie.

So he has lost his weight and removed his beard to look trim and young in the film. Vikram is confident that both his films, ‘Bheema’ and ‘Kandasamy’ would be a hit.
